"The body is important to Drew's work, just as cloth is important in the making of paper." War veteran and artist Drew Cameron creates paper out of military uniforms, and teaches this technique in free workshops around the country. In this 20 minute audio segment, Jozefien Buydens and I visit him in his San Francisco studio to talk art, paper, war, and honey.
I produced this piece for Arts In Review on KALX90.7FM. It aired Thursday, January 26th 2017 and includes music by Mise (Fear), Josh Armistead (Quiet Today, Olympia), and John Olson (his version of Sister Susie's Sewing Shirts for Soldiers). And yes, I was recovering from a cold. Edited out the sniffles for ya.
